Centralized Review Metrics

Strategic Intent
Enable analysts to access relevant sentiment and user-generated insights without leaving Comps, reducing context switching and improving decision confidence.
Context
Reviews in Comps product, helps analysts compare properties by analyzing key features, pricing, and market position. However, analysts often needed an additional layer of qualitative insight, particularly sentiment from platforms like Google Reviews, Yelp and Apartments.com to contextualize a property’s history, neighborhood quality, or tenant experience.
Understanding the Need
Through user interviews and behavioral observations, we learned that analysts frequently left Comps to manually check external reviews. This created friction, duplicated effort, and led to inconsistent decision-making. Usage data confirmed that many analysis flows were interrupted when users switched tools to gather complementary information.
Pain Points Identified
Analysts had to leave the platform to validate qualitative context.
External reviews were checked inconsistently, lowering analysis quality.
Switching between tools broke flow and added cognitive load.
No structured way to compare reviews across multiple properties.
How Reviews Solve This
Reviews integrate structured sentiment directly into Comps, allowing analysts to see an overview of user feedback, property reputation, and rating history without leaving the platform. The experience focuses on clarity, relevance, and decision-making rather than mirroring external review platforms.
